Basketball Recap: Seminole Skates Past Northeast with Ease

Seminole won the last time they faced Northeast and things went their way on Thursday too. The Seminole Warhawks blew past the Northeast Vikings 66-34. The Warhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Northeast saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jy'Aira Washington posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Alexa Chimner, who earned five points.

Seminole is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Northeast, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Seminole will host Countryside at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northeast, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Shorecrest Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
