The Bellefonte Raiders are on the road again  on Wednesday to play the Penns Valley Area Rams at 4:30  p.m. Bellefonte is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.1  runs per game  this season.
 Bellefonte is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Pennsylvania's top teams: Philipsburg-Osceola, who was ranked 14th in their home state at the time (Bellefonte was ranked third). Bellefonte had just enough and edged Philipsburg-Osceola out  8-6.
  Peyton Vancas was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Vancas was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-5 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Oliver Thornburg was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with a  home run.  Josh Brown was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Penns Valley Area fell victim to Mount Union and their airtight pitching crew  on Monday. They lost  15-0 to the Trojans. Penns Valley Area has not had much luck with Mount Union recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 Bellefonte pushed their record up to 12-1 with that  win, which was their tenth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Penns Valley Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
 Bellefonte skirted past Penns Valley Area  2-0 when the teams last played  back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bellefonte since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
