Asotin came out on top in a nail-biter against Genesee on Wednesday, sneaking past 13-12. With that win, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Georgia Schaefer and Kiera Nielson made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Schaefer pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Nielson didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. At bat, Schaefer scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5, while Nielson scored three runs while going 1-for-6. Schaefer also put up a triple, which was her first of the season.
