The Greater Vision Academy Lions just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the New Life Christian Academy Monarchs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greater Vision Academy will be strutting in after a victory while New Life Christian Academy will be coming in after a loss.
Greater Vision Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 61-41 margin over Winston Salem Christian. The win was all the more spectacular given Greater Vision Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 524th, while Winston Salem Christian is ranked 82nd).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Greater Vision Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ramael Warren, who went 9-for-11 to rack up 21 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Warren's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 21 points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Love, who went 8-for-10 en route to 17 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, New Life Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 56-51 to Wayne Preparatory Academy.
Greater Vision Academy will need to focus on slowing down Kyle Baldwin, one of several New Life Christian Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He went 7-for-14 on his way to 18 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Baldwin is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played. Jaylen Mason was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Even though they lost, New Life Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in three consecutive contests.
Greater Vision Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-12. As for New Life Christian Academy, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 14-17.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's match: Greater Vision Academy has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 37.6% of their three-pointers per game. It's a different story for New Life Christian Academy, though, as they've only made 27.8% of their threes this season. Given Greater Vision Academy's sizable advantage in that area, New Life Christian Academy will need to find a way to close that gap.
