The Scott Eagles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They breezed by Beechwood at home to the tune of 71-31. Considering Scott has won three matchups by more than 33 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Xarek Sarakatsannis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points. Another player making a difference was Connor Griffin, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds.
Scott has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 3-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.7 points per game. As for Beechwood, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scott will challenge Fleming County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Beechwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Brossart at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Brossart has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 191 points over their last three games.
