Baseball Recap: Marist Has No Trouble Against St. Helens

While Marist put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for St. Helens. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Lions. Considering the Spartans have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Marist and bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for St. Helens, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marist will head out to take on Umpqua Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Helens, they will venture away from home to challenge Blanchet Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
