The Fultondale Wildcats lost against the Wenonah Dragons back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Fultondale was dealt a 80-27 loss at the hands of the Dragons. Fultondale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-16.
Samarian Franklin was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 18 points, 13 assists, and ten steals for Wenonah. Franklin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Jakerria Ringstaff was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five assists and four steals.
Fultondale has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Wenonah, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.
Fultondale will be playing in front of their home fans against the Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Alabama (Corner is ranked 382nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 367th). Wenonah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
