Van-Far is 7-1 against Wright City since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Van-Far Indians will head out on the road to take on the Wright City Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 16 consecutive losses for Van-Far and three for Wright City.
Last Tuesday, Van-Far came up short against Wellsville-Middletown and fell 40-30. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Van-Far in their matchups with Wellsville-Middletown: they've now lost three in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Mckenna Engh-hoffman, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Wright City had to suffer through a rough 71-27 loss at the hands of North Callaway. That's two games in a row now that Wright City has lost by exactly 44 points.
Van-Far dropped their record down to 1-17 with that loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Wright City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
Van-Far beat Wright City 58-49 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Van-Far since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
