The Jefferson Bulldogs stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Arp on the road to the tune of 56-18. Given Jefferson's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 540th, while Arp is ranked 1375th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Addison Carpenter and Maddie Birdsong certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Carpenter scored seven points, while Birdsong scored six points.
Jefferson has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season. As for Arp, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-24.
Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arp, they will head out on the road to face off against Tatum at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Tatum will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Arp surely won't give up without a fight.
