The biggest upset of the week belonged to South Pike, who took down 149th ranked South Pike, 17-0.
Tyre'oune Holmes of Tylertown ran for the longest rushing play in 4A Region 7 this season against Columbia last week. Holmes scampered for 80 yards on the play and finished with 163 on the day as his team bested the Wildcats.
Tylertown's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Holmes threw for 35 and one touchdown and Ja'moz Mark had 19 yards receiving. Chris Jones helped Tylertown's passing attack out by catching one ball for 16 yards.
Purvis' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tornadoes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Nathan Roseberry has thrown for 1054 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Markell Pack has 37 catches for 631 yards. Thomaz Taylor leads the league in rushing with 1154 yards.
Jason Johnson's team extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Columbia, 34-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
