Saranac is 2-8 against St. Patrick since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Saranac Redhawks will head out on the road to square off against the St. Patrick Shamrocks at 6:00 p.m.
After soaring to a 29-point win in their last game, Saranac came back down to earth last Wednesday. They fell just short of Bath by a score of 40-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Saranac has suffered yet this season.
Meanwhile, St. Patrick had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They really took it to Lansing Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-30 win on the road. St. Patrick's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Saranac's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for St. Patrick, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Saranac lost to St. Patrick on the road by a decisive 63-49 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Saranac avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
