The Weequahic Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Eagle Academy with a sharp 60-39 win on Tuesday. The victory was just what Weequahic needed coming off of a 90-56 defeat in their prior match.
Weequahic found their leader in underclassman Tyhir Barlow, who scored 24 points. The game was Barlow's third in a row with at least ten points. Tasir Barnes was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Weequahic's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Eagle Academy, they have fallen quite a ways from their 16-6 record last season and are now at 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weequahic will take on Newark Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eagle Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Tech at 4:00 p.m.
