Manor New Tech will head out on the road to take on the Giddings Buffaloes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Manor New Tech has four straight wins, Giddings has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Manor New Tech has not done well against La Grange recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Manor New Tech came out on top in a nail-biter against La Grange and snuck past 70-68. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Giddings came up short against Caldwell on Tuesday and fell 49-41.
Manor New Tech is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-13 record this season. As for Giddings, their loss dropped their record down to 8-20.
Everything came up roses for Manor New Tech against Giddings when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 77-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Manor New Tech since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
