Brendan Shroll made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
In other batting news, Clatskanie let Finn McDonnell and Cash Doney run wild. McDonnell scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Doney scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits McDonnell has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zach Mollenhour, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Clatskanie always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rainier only posted an OBP of .222.
