The Scots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in September of 2021.
 Despite the  defeat, David Douglas saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Jaxon Ketel rushed for 35 yards and one  TD, and also picked up 40 receiving yards.
As for Centennial, their record is now 4-5. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their offense, which had struggled in the games prior.
 Centennial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Aiden Teyema led the charge by rushing for 80 yards and one  touchdown on only six carries, while also throwing for 37 yards and one  TD. Those  80  rushing yards gave  Teyema a new career-high.  Jared Schneider was another key back, rushing for 102 yards and one  score on only 13 carries.
As of now, neither David Douglas nor Centennial have any future games scheduled.
