Last Tuesday, Savannah Christian lost to the Blue Tide on the road by a decisive 54-39 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Savannah Christian in their matchups with the Blue Tide: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Liberty County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 37-33 to the Bulldogs.
Despite the loss, Liberty County got a solid performance out of Shun Garcia, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garcia has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Malajah Roberts, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Savannah Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Liberty County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.
Savannah Christian was taken down by the Panthers 50-21 in their previous matchup back in January. Can Savannah Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
