After a big victory against Keokuk last Friday, Mt. Pleasant came back down to earth. Mt. Pleasant didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 28-34 to Solon on Friday. If Mt. Pleasant were expecting to get some payback for the 0-33 loss against Solon the last time they met, then they were left disappointed.
The defeat dropped Mt. Pleasant's record to 4-3. Solon added further sheen to their flawless record, now 7-0.
Next week Mt. Pleasant take on Fort Madison at 7:30 PM. Fort Madison are limping into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Solon, they will face off against Keokuk. Keokuk took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse Solon's good fortune.
