The Carlisle Christian Academy Knights waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 54-50 win over Red Lion Christian. For Carlisle Christian Academy, this counts as revenge for the 50-38 defeat the Swordsmen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Gabe Kearney continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Carlisle Christian Academy's points. Collin Wevodau was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Several Swordsmen players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Burns`, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Burns` scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruben De Los Santos, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Carlisle Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Red Lion Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Carlisle Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Defenders at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Blue Mountain Christian will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Red Lion Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th.
