After flying high against Pasadena  last Thursday, Porter came back down to earth. The Spartans were dealt  a  67-21 defeat at the hands of the La Porte Bulldogs on Friday. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  33-7.
  Sean Simon produced another solid  performance rushing for 227 yards and one  TD while picking up 11.9 yards per carry for La Porte. Simon is  crushing it when it comes to  rushing yards: he's   rushed for at least 105 every time he's  taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Payton Smith, who picked up 110 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
Porter's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for La Porte, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.
