Archie is 1-9 against Adrian since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Whirlwinds will head out on the road to face off against the Blackhawks at 4:30 p.m. Archie is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12 runs per game this season.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Archie and Hume, and Archie kept the tradition alive. The Whirlwinds were the clear victors by a 20-1 margin over the Hornets on Monday. The Whirlwinds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by ten runs or more this season.

Kyleigh Wilson made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Madison Wilson was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Elsie Parsons, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-4.
Archie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Adrian came up short against El Dorado Springs on Monday, falling 18-3.
Addy Mizell was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2.
The victory got Archie back to even at 3-3. As for Adrian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Archie hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .448. However, it's not like Adrian struggles in that department as they've averaged .313. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Archie suffered a grim 21-3 defeat to Adrian when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Whirlwinds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
