It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Allendale-Fairfax Tigers can now relate to. They took a 28-18 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cross on Friday.
Tyler Mungin had a dynamite game for Cross, rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 102 yards and a touchdown. Mungin was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards.
Allendale-Fairfax has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Cross, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Allendale-Fairfax does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cross will square off against Bamberg-Ehrhardt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bamberg-Ehrhardt is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
