The Grand Traverse Academy Mustangs were the 42-29 winner over the Cadillac Heritage Christian Patriots when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Grand Traverse Academy took a 39-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cadillac Heritage Christian on Friday.
Despite the defeat, Grand Traverse Academy had strong showings from Paige Bell, who scored nine points along with four steals, and Sadie Brown, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Grand Traverse Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cadillac Heritage Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grand Traverse Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Central Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cadillac Heritage Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Mason County Eastern at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Mason County Eastern will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Cadillac Heritage Christian is ranked 176th).
