Even though the Glendale Falcons have not done well against the Lebanon Yellowjackets recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Glendale took down the Yellowjackets 68-50. Given Glendale's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Madison Myers, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bodie Cox, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Glendale has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which somehow isn't as good as their 17-5 record this season. As for Lebanon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Glendale will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Kickapoo sitting on 11 straight victories and the Falcons on four. As for Lebanon, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th.
