El Dorado has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Woodbridge Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only El Dorado walked away with it. They walked away with a 57-45 victory over the Indians on Wednesday.
El Dorado's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathan Meek, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Meek scored 15 or more points. Noah Barker was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Woodbridge waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They blew past Rowland, posting a 60-30 victory at home. Given Woodbridge's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Rowland is ranked 597th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
El Dorado is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Woodbridge, they pushed their record up to 19-9 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
El Dorado lost to Woodbridge on the road by a decisive 49-35 margin in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Can El Dorado avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
