The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for River City Believers Academy in their matchups with First Baptist Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why River City Believers Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lukas Cox. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cox has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennen McGuire, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Timothy De La Rosa was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points for First Baptist Academy. De La Rosa hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Noah Napier was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
River City Believers Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for First Baptist Academy, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
