The De Leon Bearcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Thrall by a score of 50-47.
It was another big night for Ashlyn Jarosek, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals for Thrall. The contest was Jarosek's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Briana Jarosek was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 11 rebounds.
De Leon has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Thrall, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-9.
De Leon's road trip will continue as they head out to face Valley Mills at 2:40 p.m. on December 29th. Thrall will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Bangs at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
