Shakopee had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.9 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Burnsville Blaze with a sharp 78-53 victory. Given the Sabers' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Blaze are ranked 158th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shakopee pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.7 points over those games. As for Burnsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 15 of their last 17 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.
