The Auburn Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Ogallala Indians with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Auburn secured a 36-32 W over Ogallala on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
It was another big night for Maverick Binder, who rushed for 192 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Binder hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Nixon Ligouri, who rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown.
Defeat or not, Ogallala got some senior leadership from Caden Rezac who gained 240 total yards and Harry Caskey who rushed for 112 yards. Rezac's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.
Auburn's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.3 points per game. As for Ogallala, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.
Auburn will take on Boone Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Boone Central will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. Ogallala does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
