Joliet Central lost against Bolingbrook back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The Steelmen fell  2-0 to the Raiders. The Steelmen's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
 While Joliet Central was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20,  25-22.
 Mason Lipuma paced Joliet Central's offense, picking up seven kills. Lipuma got some help from  Logan Novak and his 18 assists.
 Bolingbrook can attribute much of their success to  Nahya Scott, who  had 11  digs and two  aces. That's the most  aces  Scott has posted since back in April.
Joliet Central's loss dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Bolingbrook, they pushed their record up to 24-5 with the  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Joliet Central will face off against Romeoville at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Steelmen are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Bolingbrook, they will take on Homewood-Flossmoor at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
