The Ferndale Yellow Jackets were the 49-37 winner over the Northern Cambria Colts when they last played one another back in December of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Ferndale was outmatched by the Colts at home and fell 68-37. Ferndale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Ferndale lost on Monday, one person who can't be blamed is Caleb Fenton. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Fenton is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Kring, who scored five points.
Ferndale now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Northern Cambria, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ferndale will take on the Elks at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Salisbury Elk Lick is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.1 points per game this season. As for Northern Cambria, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. on January 30th.
