Bolton Central will head out to face off against Chazy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
On Monday, Bolton Central got the win against Crown Point by a conclusive 14-3. Considering the Eagles have won three matches by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Abram Figueroa was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Figueroa was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

| 04/26/24 vs Lake Placid | 2 |

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andy Morehouse, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Egloff, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and two RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chazy). They put the hurt on Wells with a sharp 29-1 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Wells CSD: they've now won six in a row.
Like Bolton Central, Chazy also got a great game from a two-way player: Tate Stevens. On the mound, Stevens pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Zeke McLennan struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). At bat, Stevens got on base in two of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while McLennan earned one RBI and three runs.
In other batting news, Landon Duprey was a standout: he went 5-for-6 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Duprey is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Novak Jarus was another key player, getting on base in five of his six plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one triple.
Chazy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .612. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Chazy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bolton Central, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bolton Central has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Chazy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Bolton Central's way against Chazy in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Bolton Central made off with a 16-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bolton Central since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
