The Harmony Longhorns will head out to face off against the Eau Gallie Commodores at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Harmony 3.5, Eau Gallie 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Harmony is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Cloud just ended the team's 12-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 8-7.

Harmony got a good showing from Raul Romay, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Romay has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Angel Medina made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Samuel Castillo also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Eau Gallie had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They never let Varsity Opponent get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That's two games straight that the Commodores have won by exactly ten runs.
Eau Gallie let Vincent Breckenridge and Chase McBrearty run wild. Breckenridge went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI, while McBrearty scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave McBrearty a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Lustic, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Eau Gallie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .348 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Eau Gallie pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Harmony, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2.
Harmony took their win against Eau Gallie in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harmony since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
