After losing to Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine the last time they met, the Martinsville Bluestreaks decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Martinsville enjoyed a cozy 55-41 victory over the on Saturday.
Martinsville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adam Parcel, who scored 21 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Parcel has scored at least a third of Martinsville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Simons, who scored 16 points.
Martinsville's victory bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Martinsville's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Salukis at 5:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Red Hill and the Bluestreaks are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. As for Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine, they will head out on the road to challenge the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Chrisman focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 last Friday.
