The Christ the King Crusaders waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They breezed by Corvian Community on the road to the tune of 52-23. Christ the King has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season.
Christ the King's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Claire Broda, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brianna Pacholski, who scored nine points along with eight steals and five assists.
When it comes to explaining why Corvian Community lost, one person who can't be blamed is Victoria Sandiford. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points.
Christ the King has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Corvian Community, they dropped their record down to 5-14 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
