Baseball Recap: Waccamaw Takes a Loss

Waccamaw scored first but ultimately less than West Forsyth in their game on Wednesday. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Forsyth Titans. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Christian Galasso and Ty Kerns stepped up to the plate in a big way. Galasso went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Kerns went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Galasso has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Corrin Green, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Even though they lost, Waccamaw was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Waccamaw now has a losing record of 2-3. As for West Forsyth, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Waccamaw wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Myrtle Beach on the 14th. As for West Forsyth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against R.J. Reynolds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Forsyth will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
