Cardinal Mooney lost to Tampa Catholic 43-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Bishop Verot and LaBelle played the closest game in 3A District 6 this week, with Bishop Verot eventually emerging with a 21-20 victory. Jimmy Dwyer ran for 155 yards and caught 1 pass for 14 yards during the win.
The Vikings' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Quinn Farrell threw for 102 yards and Grant Suroski had 31 yards receiving. On the ground Dwyer contributed 155 yards. Beau Fortier helped Bishop Verot's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 21 yards.
Dwyer was a passing and rushing force as Bishop Verot defeated the Cowboys. Dwyer's favorite target this week was Suroski, who caught 2 passes for 31 yards.
Suroski was the best receiver in the league this week as Phil Dorn's team bested LaBelle. Fortier helped Bishop Verot's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 21 yards.
Bishop Verot's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Vikings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Farrell has thrown for 463 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while CJ Spiro has 9 catches for 243 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Out-of-Door Academy takes on the Vikings. The Thunder are currently in third, while Bishop Verot is in second.
The Cougars made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,952 from 4,177. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 43-0 victory over Cardinal Mooney last week.
