After taking the lead on a
Trenton Tucker touchdown run in the first quarter,
Fremont (Neb.) was up 40-0 at the half.
The Tigers grew their lead to 47 points entering the fourth quarter. Fremont scored once in the quarter on a touchdown pass by
Eliott Gloeb to
Noah Voss.
FHS scored 26 points in the second quarter on the way to a win. The Tigers scored on a touchdown run by Voss, a
Justin Klanecky touchdown run, a touchdown pass by Gloeb to
Jarrod Cox and an Gloeb touchdown pass to Voss in the quarter.
Gloeb was the top performer for Fremont. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
The victory will ease some of the sting of Fremont's close 29-28 loss to North Platte (Neb.) last season.
The victory was a step in the right direction for FHS, which was coming off a 42-10 defeat at the hands of Omaha Westside in its previous game. The victory snapped Fremont's two-game losing streak.
Fremont (2-3) will play an A District 4 game against Grand Island next week, while North Platte (0-5) will take on North Star also in an A District 4 game.
