The Timpanogos Timberwolves will head out on the road to face off against the Brighton Bengals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Timpanogos is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Timpanogos had to suffer through a rough 63-32 loss at the hands of Cedar Valley. Timpanogos was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-9.
Timpanogos' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Rachel Vance, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds, and Georgia King who scored six points. King set a new season high mark in steals with two.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Brighton beat Taylorsville 58-52 on Friday. Given Brighton's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while Taylorsville is ranked 64th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Timpanogos bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.0 points per game. As for Brighton, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
