It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Calvary Baptist Cougars had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They took down the Bruins 54-37. Calvary Baptist is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 13 straight.
Calvary Baptist found their leader in underclassman Gradi Ekutshu, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Pier Mancin, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Calvary Baptist pushed their record up to 25-4 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home. As for Geffen Academy, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Calvary Baptist didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-51 loss vs. Ventura on the 9th. Geffen Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
