The Trenton Tigers will square off against the West Port Wolf Pack at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Trenton's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Union County 15-0. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Fightin' Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Addison Allaire made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Olivia Weaver, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those RBI were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Presley Akins, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Trenton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, West Port won against Wildwood on Thursday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Wolf Pack didn't even let Kathleen on the board, marking the Wolf Pack's second-straight 15-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Wolf Pack as they're now sitting on three straight.
Like Trenton, West Port also got a great game from a two-way player: Alena Ishman. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ishman was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Emily Brinkman was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base. Ashley Zimmerman was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
West Port's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Trenton, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Trenton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like West Port struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Trenton took their win against West Port in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 15-2 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Wolf Pack have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
