Overland is 9-1 against Arapahoe since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Overland Trailblazers will look to defend their home court against the Arapahoe Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Overland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Arapahoe likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Overland made easy work of Grandview and carried off a 72-49 win. Given Overland's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Grandview is ranked 95th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Siraaj Ali continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 24 points and nine assists. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kymani Eason, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Arapahoe came into Friday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Cherry Creek by a score of 54-46 on Friday.
Overland has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Arapahoe, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Overland was able to grind out a solid victory over Arapahoe when the teams last played on Wednesday, winning 56-48. Does Overland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Arapahoe turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
