Klein Oak is a perfect 10-0 against Klein Forest since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Klein Oak is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
Klein Oak barely beat Cinco Ranch the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Cougars a 12-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Reagan Eldred made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Makenzie Berkman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Sky Gonzalez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Klein Oak always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Klein Forest's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Klein by a score of 1-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.
Jaylee Garza-2029 spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 16 Ks.
Klein Oak's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Klein Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Everything went Klein Oak's way against Klein Forest in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Klein Oak made off with a 23-0 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
