Despite the loss, Chisago Lakes Baptist saw an underclassman step up: Mariah Cave dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. That was a full 35.3% of Chisago Lakes Baptist's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Becca Cave, who scored 11 points along with five assists and four steals.
The win was the third in a row for St. Francis Christian, bringing their record for this year to 5-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Chisago Lakes Baptist, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.
St. Francis Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley Christian Academy at 1:55 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chisago Lakes Baptist, they will head out on the road to challenge Woodcrest Baptist Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
