Football Recap: Comfort Starts Season with Victory Against Brackett

Comfort took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past the Brackett Tigers 43-19. The Bobcats/Deer pushed the score to 36-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Hunter Ledlow and Gabriel Gonzalez. Ledlow rushed for 89 yards and one score on only ten carries while Gonzalez gained 52 total yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Gonzalez a new career-high in rushing yards (17).

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Comfort will take on Dilley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brackett, they will face off against Cotulla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
