Tuckerman is 7-1 against Walnut Ridge since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Walnut Ridge's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Tuckerman hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Bulldogs never let Marshall get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Thursday.

Maegan Richardson was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.
In other batting news, Ally Sampson was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Bristen Wheeler, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Tuckerman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Walnut Ridge had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Greyhounds with a sharp 15-0 victory.
Like Tuckerman, Walnut Ridge also got a great game from a two-way player: Ashtyn Bradley. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Bradley was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Walnut Ridge let Karlee Broadway and Chloe Newberry run wild. Broadway went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Newberry scored a run while going 3-for-3. That triple was Broadway's first of the season. Whitley White was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
Tuckerman is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Walnut Ridge, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tuckerman hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .409. However, it's not like Walnut Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .347. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tuckerman couldn't quite get it done against Walnut Ridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 10-6. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
