When it comes to explaining why North Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dylan Smith. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 34 points and 14 rebounds. The matchup was Smith's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Jahleel Gaines was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Lewisville pushed their record up to 8-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for North Central, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.
