The Lewisville Lions put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 70-66 W over North Central. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why North Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dylan Smith. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 34 points and 14 rebounds. The matchup was Smith's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Jahleel Gaines was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Lewisville pushed their record up to 8-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for North Central, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewisville will take on C.A. Johnson at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. C.A. Johnson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 209th, while Lewisville is ranked 69th). As for North Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chesterfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
