The Superior Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They took a 23-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hayden. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Superior of the 20-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Lilianna Fritz was Superior's leading scorer, having posted seven points.
Faith Denogean held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.
Sussan Mancinas took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.
Hayden was led to victory by Trinity Collier and Rya Lagunas. Collier scored four points along with 14 rebounds, while Lagunas scored six points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. It was the first time this season that Collier pulled down eight or more rebounds. Sienna Gonzales was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Superior dropped their record down to 1-20 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.8 points per game. As for Hayden, their win bumped their record up to 5-21.
Superior does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hayden also has no future games currently scheduled.
