The Yerington Lions entered their tilt with the Oasis Academy Bighorns with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Yerington snuck past Oasis Academy with a 51-46 victory on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Yerington also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Yerington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colby Rowe, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kp Picotte jr, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Yerington is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Oasis Academy, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Yerington will take on West Wendover at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Averaging 63.5 so far this season, West Wendover's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Yerington better be ready for a challenge. As for Oasis Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Battle Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Battle Mountain is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 63.4 points per game.
