Even though the Comenius Knights scored an imposing 68 points on Thursday, the New Hope Leadership Academy Gladiators still came out on top. This was payback for New Hope Leadership Academy, who suffered a 86-67 loss the last time these two teams met.
New Hope Leadership Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sugar Eaton, who scored 33 points. Eaton is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 22 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trey Hampton, who scored 20 points.
The victory got New Hope Leadership Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Comenius, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-17.
New Hope Leadership Academy will head out on the road to challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Providence Athletic Club will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Comenius will take on the Kings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. HA Prep Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully the Knights like a good challenge.
