4A Region II District 11 recap Oct. 23, 2012
Seagoville moved up to 850 from 896 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region II District 11. The Dragons were able to make move up by topping North Dallas 21-19.
South Oak Cliff extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Carter, 21-14. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
The Bulldogs' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jason Medellin threw for 246 and two touchdowns and Justin Townsend had 92 yards receiving. On the ground John Jones chipped in 72 yards. Jeremiah Gantt helped North Dallas' passing attack out by catching four balls for 73 yards.
North Dallas' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Medellin has thrown for 1083 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Gantt has 34 catches for 363 yards. Jones leads the league in rushing with 604 yards.
A big matchup in 4A Region II District 11 this week will be when South Oak Cliff takes on Adamson. Kendall Miller's team is currently in first, while the Leopards are in fourth.
Kimball led the league in scoring this week after putting up 37 points on Pinkston.
